Practice Nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears.
Assistant Practitioner support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement and new patient checks. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.

Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.
Pharmacist's role includes:
HIP help patients develop healthier behaviour and lifestyles in their own local communities. They offer practical support to change their behaviour to achieve their own choices and goals.
The exact role will depend upon the needs of the community in which they work, but typically a HIP will carry out the following:

Vikki can see patients with mental health symptoms such as low mood, anxiety and depression. Vikki will be working alongside our Nurses and GPs to provide a first point of contact these patients. Please book an appointment with Vikki for further guidance, advice and treatment.

Andrew Taylor is our Musculoskeletal (MSK) Practitioner. He is an Advanced Practitioner Physiotherapist specialising in the clinical assessment, diagnosis and management of Musculoskeletal (muscle or joint) conditions. Andrew can see patients aged 16 and over with (suspected or diagnosed) MSK conditions.
Patients with Musculoskeletal problems can be seen by Andrew as a first point of contact, instead of a GP.
